Jack when I held you and looked at you,
your peaceful little face, body, arms and legs
I felt grateful and yet so sad
Grateful to know and hold you
Sad that I couldn’t have you some more, and that steals every ounce of my heart
You will always be remebered, Jack
And ever so near to my heart
May your soul rest in peace
And I look forward to meeting you again
when my life has passed
